Communicate with your Employees

Keeping the lines of communication open in your organization is a key element to your business success. Informed employees have the knowledge they need to perform their jobs more efficiently and effectively. Also, 'keeping them in the know' tends to empower employees by helping them use their time more effectively rather than wasting it trying to sort out details.

Try to use as many avenues as possible to keep employees connected to one another:

Verbal: such as group, staff, and face to face meetings
Staff Events: keep employees connected to one another, and comfortable approaching eachother. Celebrate successes, and company milestones in a fun way
Written: includes memos, newsletters, employee surveys, emails, etc...
Personal: social events, informal chats, consider instituting a time slot once a week where everyone can get together during company time for an informal get together
